Criss Rodriguez

Nomad Contemporary Ballet; Steps Ensemble

Criss Rodriguez, from Brooklyn, NY, started her training at Ballet Hispanico with a full scholarship and at the Professional Performing Arts School affiliated with The Ailey School as a scholarship student in the Pre-Professional program. She was awarded The Elizabeth Roxas Scholarship. Criss also studied in Manhattan Youth Ballet (known as Studio Maestro) and Complexions Summer Intensive. Criss has appeared on "Angelina Ballerina" on PBS kids and has performed as a student of The Ailey School in "Memoria" choreographed by Alvin Ailey with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at New York City Center.  She also danced in "Revelations" cast of 50 at NJPAC. Criss has worked with choreographers such as Francesca Harper, Troy Powell, Christopher Huggins, Pedro Ruiz, Ronald K. Brown and Robert Battle, as well as with Ballet Hispanico Ensemble, The Albano Ballet, and Nick Cave Project (HEARD NY) in Grand Central Station.  She is pleased to be assisting Teacher/Choreographer Adrienne Hurd and to be a guest artist with Nomad Contemporary Ballet.
