Siabhan Brown

Freelance Dancer

Siabhan Brown is a native of Mount Vernon, NY. Her training began at Nellie A. Thornton Elementary Magnet Arts School, now known as Denzel Washington School of the Arts, under Karen Zambelli.  She was recommended to audition for the annual  production of The Nutcracker with Ballet Atlantic Academy under the direction of Leslie Otto and was later invited to study in their pre-professional program. Ms. Brown has trained in ballet, pointe, West African, Horton and Graham techniques. She completed The Ailey School Scholarship Program in 2021 and also studied on scholarship at The Dance Theatre of Harlem, Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts, and Joffrey Ballet School’s Jazz & Contemporary Trainee Program. Ms. Brown performed works by Louis Johnson, Frederick Earl Mosley, Robert Garland, Jacqulyn Buglisi and Royce Zackery, among others. While at The Ailey School she performed in the Ailey Spring Benefit Gala in Bird Lives!, a section of Mr. Ailey's work For Bird – With Love. She also performed in the Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Rocka My Soul in the Bosom of Abraham, a section of Mr. Ailey's master work, Revelations. Ms. Brown is currently a freelance dancer. She aspires to have a non-profit organization in which to share her passion for dance with her community and to assist dancers from single parent immigrant families in pursuing their dreams in the arts.
