The Ailey School

Simran Vilain is from Rodez, France. She began studying ballet at the tender age of 7 years old at the Ecole de Danse Carole Massoutié. After attending The Ailey School Summer Intensive in 2017, Simran was inspired to learn more about modern dance and she continued her training at the Ecole de Danse Nadège Cayron, specializing in jazz and modern dance. She was awarded first place in several competitions in France. As a member of the Ailey Student Performance Group (ASPG), Simran has had the opportunity to perform works by Ray Mercer and Branndi Lewis. She is a 2024 graduate of the Certificate Program.
