The Ailey School

Darion Turner began his dance training at AileyCamp Atlanta and at Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts in Clayton County, GA. He studied on scholarship at Atlanta Ballet, Eagles Landing Dance Center, and in The Ailey School Summer Intensive. He later enrolled in the Certificate Program at The Ailey School where he is currently a member of the Ailey Student Performance Group (ASPG). Mr. Turner has worked with choreographers such as Darrell Grand Moultrie, Anthony Burrell, Amy Hall Garner, and Ronald K. Brown. He also performed works by Robert Battle, Geoffrey Holder, and performed with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in Alvin Ailey’s Memoria during their 2022 and 2023 New York City Center seasons. He is a 2024 graduate of the Certificate Program and is in his first season as an apprentice with Ailey II.
