Claudio Caverni

Certificate Program Class of 2024

Claudio Caverni was born in Siena, Italy. He started dancing at an early age in a small dance studio in his village in Tuscany. He later moved to Siena where he trained for 5 years at Ateneo della Danza. During his training in Siena, he had the opportunity to perform in Don Quixote with Balletto Di Siena. In 2021 Claudio moved to New York to continue his dance training in The Ailey School Certificate Program. He has been among a select group of students chosen to perform with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in several of their New York City Center seasons, including in 2021 when he was selected by Clifton Brown to perform in an excerpt of Bird Lives by Alvin Ailey, in 2022 performing an excerpt of Festa Barocca by Mauro Bigonzetti, and in 2023 in Mr. Ailey's Memoria. He also performed in Hope Boykin’s work Chasing the Spirit for the 2023 Ailey Spirit Gala at New York's Lincoln Center. 
Claudio is a member of the Ailey Student Performance Group (ASPG) under the direction of Mr. Freddie Moore where he has performed Ailey Repertoire and has worked with choreographers such as Amy Hall Garner, Ronald K. Brown, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Tracy Inman, Janice Rosario, Brice Mousset, and Renee Robinson. Claudio has participated in various intensives such as, Orsolina28 working with Juliano Nunes, FLOCK, ChoreoLab at Ballet Hispanico, Gibney NYC Summer Study, and Ateneo della Danza Intensive Summer School. He will graduate from the Certificate Program in spring 2024.
