The Ailey School

Adanna Rae Smalls hails from Brooklyn, New York. She began her dance training at the Abrons Arts Center Henry Street Settlement in New York City. In 2021, she graduated from the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan as a dance major in their joint program with Ailey. She has also trained at Harlem School of the Arts, Steps Conservatory, and is currently a senior in The Ailey School Certificate Program.  As a member of The Ailey School Performance Group (ASPG), Adanna has had the opportunity to work with choreographers and artists including Clifton Brown, Ronald K. Brown, Freddie Moore, Daniel Catnach, Aubrey Lynch, and Natalia Johnson. Adanna is a 2024 graduate of The Ailey School Certificate Program.
