BFA Program Class of 2024

Ruby Webb (she/her) grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where she began her dance training at the age of three at Baltimore Ballet. She furthered her study of ballet and modern techniques in the TWIGS afterschool program at Baltimore School for the Arts (BSFA), and was accepted into the BSFA high school as a dance major. At BSFA she was fortunate to learn from teachers such as Norma Pera, Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, and Laura Halm Hamilton, and to perform works by Darrel Grand Moultrie, Barry Hughson, Jimmie Manners, and Maeghan McHale, among others. Ruby went on to pursue a degree in Dance from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, with a double major in Spanish Language and Literature. At The Ailey School she has trained rigorously in Ballet, Horton, Graham, Contemporary, Improvisation, Partnering and Composition. She has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Rebecca Margolick, Hollie Wright, and Madison Hicks. She has also had the opportunity to expand her dance artistry and perform repertory and new works at intensives at Limón Dance Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. In addition to her dance endeavors, Ruby has worked as a peer tutor and translator. She will graduate from the Ailey/Fordham program in 2024, and looks forward to the next chapter of her dance life.
