The Ailey School

Micah Washington was born in Columbia, Maryland. She started her dance training at the age of 3 at the Ballet Royale Institute of Maryland. At age 11 she began training in the Junior Division at The Ailey School. She has attended various summer intensive programs at institutions such as Dance Theatre of Harlem, American Ballet Theatre, Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts, Paul Taylor American Dance Theater, and The Ailey School. Micah has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor, Earl Mosley, Hope Boykin, Pedro Ruiz, William Isaac and Manuel Vignoulle. She is a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance, class of 2021.
