The Ailey School

Megan Carter was born and raised in Furlong, Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia where she began her formal dance training at the age of 3. She trained primarily at Dance Arts Collaborative in all styles of dance under the direction of Reina Faith. She also trained in ballet and contemporary styles at Ballet Arts of Bucks County under the direction of Kathleen Dwyer.  She continued her training in New York City in the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, and is graduating in the spring of 2024 with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Arts in Digital Technology and Emerging Media.  During her time at The Ailey School, Megan has had the privilege to perform works by Rebecca Margolick, Hollie Wright, Maleek Washington, Adrienne Hurd, and Roderick George. Megan supplemented her dance training by attending various intensives at The Ailey School, Parsons Dance Company, Synthesis Dance, Koresh Dance Company, and Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago. Megan is extremely grateful for the opportunity to train with renowned dance educators and is looking forward to furthering her professional dance career following graduation.
