Kaila Gibson-Okunieff

Kaila Gibson-Okunieff (Boston, MA) began dancing at the age of 6 and attended the Boston Ballet School. In high school she entered Boston Arts Academy where she trained in ballet and Horton technique under the direction of William McLaughlin, Sheryl-Pollard Thomas, and Tatiana Obeso, and performed works by Kirven Douthit-Boyd, Ruka White, and Cristobal Marquez. In her senior year of high school she participated in the Regional High School Dance Festival.  Kaila is a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program where she performed works by Adam Barruch, William Isaac, and Yoshito Sakuraba. Kaila currently splits her time between her passions for dance and physical therapy.
