The Ailey School

Julia Miller (State College, PA) began her dance training in various genres of dance at Centre Dance under the direction of Nicole Swope. Julia graduated in May 2024 from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance. Julia was selected to perform in the Ailey Spirit Gala 2023 “Full of Hope” at Lincoln Center with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, choreographed by Hope Boykin. Most recently, she had the pleasure of performing in the repertoire of Crystal Pite and Marco Goecke. Julia has worked with choreographers such as Alex Anderson, Roderick George, Ray Mercer, Maleek Washington, and Juel D. Lane among others. She has also spent time training at Orsolina28, Batsheva Dance Company Intensive, Martha Graham Summer Intensive, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Bodytraffic Intensive, and SpringboardX. Julia is incredibly grateful for the opportunities she has had to work with such influential choreographers and teachers, and is looking forward to what is to come.
