Julia Boberg

BFA Program Class of 2024

Julia Boberg grew up in Los Angeles, CA where her early childhood was immersed in dance at San Marino Dance Academy under Collette Sibal, in painting and drawing at Mission Renaissance, and performing violin at The Colburn School. Dance emerged as her early passion, and in 2019 Julia was honored with an Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award from the National Dance Education Organization. Julia has spent her summers training at Perry Mansfield, The Ailey School, The Rock School, Gibney Company, and Hubbard Street Dance. Julia’s performance highlights encompass works by Robert Battle, Jose Limón, Maleek Washington, Jacob Jonas, Jonathan Alsberry, Juel Lane, and Morgan Clune. Notably, during her time in the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, Julia’s choreography was selected as a featured work at Assemblée Internationale 2023, hosted by Canada’s National Ballet School. Julia is especially eager to connect her BFA in Dance and her BA in Visual Art, imagining innovative ways for collaboration to occur between art forms, making dance even more vibrant, accessible and inclusive.
