Talia Gauthier

Freelance Dancer

Talia Gauthier, from Ontario, Canada, began dancing at a very young age. She was a part of Team Canada Dance in 2014 where she represented Canada in Warsaw, Poland and in Prague, Czech Republic with the International Dance Organization. She then began a four year pre-professional training at The Quinte Ballet School of Canada, learning under Gizella Witkowsky, Henning Albrechtsen, and Catherine Taylor. In 2016, she performed in the Opening Ceremonies for the Women’s International Floorball Championships. During her pre-professional training, s became an Adult Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical teacher, and soon after a Summer Dance Coordinator. She has also appeared in the feature films IT2 and Shazam!. While completing her third year in the Certificate Program at The Ailey School, she performed “Memoria”, staged by Rehearsal Director, Ronni Favors , alongside the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre Company and Ailey II, at New York City Center. As a member of the Ailey Student Performance Group (ASPG), she has worked with choreographers such as Amy Hall, Patrick Coker, and Hollie Wright. She is a graduate of The Ailey School Certificate Program, class of 2022.
