The Ailey School

Sarah Takash grew up in Brielle, New Jersey where she began dancing at the age of 3. At age 15, she began training at The Academy of Dance Arts under the direction of Nick and Shayne Mishoe. She completed all Royal Academy of Dance Vocational exams with the highest honors of distinction.  Sarah has supplemented her training at summer programs with Arts Umbrella, Nederlands Dans Theater, Art of Ballet: Zürich, the Juilliard School, American Ballet Theater NYC, and the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet.  Sarah has had the opportuntiey of performing works by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, Henning Rübsam, Tina Bush, and Elizabeth White as a performer in the Elizabeth White Creative.  Sarah is a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance, where she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honors society.  She earned a BFA in Dance and a BA in Visual Arts with a photography concentration.
