The Ailey School

Roxanne Cubero was born and raised in Houston, TX, where she received her dance training at Masters Upper Level (MUL). She has competed in group and individual title competitions around the country. Most notably, she won Miss Starpower Branson in 2017. She also attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) where she performed works by Christian Warner, Sarah Stanley, and Ben Delony. Roxanne is a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, where she also majored in New Media and Digital Design with a concentration in Art, Text and Design and was the Creative Director of Fordham’s award-winning student newspaper, The Observer. She has performed works by Esmé Boyce, Natalie Lamonte, Becky Brown, and Andre Tyson.
