The Ailey School

Rebecca Light began her dance training at the age of four at the Acton School of Ballet in Acton, Massachusetts. She is a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance, where she minored in Latin American Studies. She has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, Henning Rübsam, Tina Bush, Chalvar Monteiro, and Chip Morris. She is trained in ballet, Graham, Horton, pointe, and contemporary dance, and has attended summer intensives with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in New York, American Repertory Ballet, BalletX, and Ballet Hispánico. Rebecca is also passionate about outreach and dance education, and has taught and performed contemporary dance in Mexico, Guatemala, and Colombia with JUNTOS Collective.
