Ponpavee Kwunchaithanya

Pavee Kwunchaithanya, a New York native, embarked on her dance training by attending New York’s public schools for dance, such as Ballet Tech, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, and the Martha Graham School’s Teens@Graham program. Pavee has had the privilege of performing a diverse range of works by Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, Robert Battle, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Mia Michaels, Cassandra Phifer, Rebecca Brown, Yusha Marie Sorzano Helen Simoneau, Tadej Brdnik, Janice Rosario,  Gregory Dolbashian,  Esme Boyce, and Redha Medjellekh.  She has danced in companies such as Janice Rosario and Company, An Nuo Spiritual Dance, and Helen Simoneau Danse. Pavee performed in the 37th Annual Battery Dance festival, Macy’s 93rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Dance Spotlight’s documentary production of the Martha Graham Technique. She has been a teacher assistant for the PreTeens@Graham Program and Ballet teacher for PSW Performing Arts.  Pavee is Barre certified and teaches at various Pure Barre studios in the city.  She is a graduate of the Ailey/ Fordham BFA Program in Dance where she pursued a second major in Theology.
