Buglisi Dance Theatre; Ailey II

Meagan King (Brooklyn, NY) discovered her love for dance with middle school teacher Elizabeth Alleva at Cunningham I.S. 234. She continued her professional dance training at the age of 14 at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art & the Performing Arts. She was a student in the Junior Division at The Ailey School and is a Glorya Kaufman Scholarship recipient in the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance. Meagan has performed works choreographed by Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, Robert Battle, Hope Boykin, Earl Mosley, Darrell Grand-Moultrie, Tina Bush, Bradley Shelver, Pedro Ruiz, and Christian von Howard. She is an alumna of the 2018 Contemporary Program at The School at Jacob’s Pillow. She recently completed an apprenticeship with Buglisi Dance Theatre and is currently an apprentice with Ailey II.
