Luke Chandler

Freelance dancer

Luke Chander is originally from London, England where he began dancing at the age of 11 at Sylvia Young Theatre School. At age 13 he was offered a scholarship to attend Tring Park School for the Performing Arts where he trained for several years. Luke attended The Ailey School’s Independent Study program and subsequently transferred to the Certificate Program where he has had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Darrell Grand Moultrie, Norbert De La Cruz, Kirven Boyd, among others. He has performed at New York City Center with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in Mr. Ailey’s work “Memoria”. Luke has done various TV work and has also performed at various venues across the UK and US such as The Royal Albert Hall, The Victoria and Albert Museum, at Buckingham Palace for the Queen of England’s 2013 Coronation Gala and at Fort Mason Centre for Arts in San Francisco. He attended Alonzo King Lines Ballet 2019 Summer Intensive on Scholarship and is a graduate of The Certificate Program, class of 2020. Luke aspires to continue dancing internationally.
