The Ailey School

Jaelyn Stewart discovered her love for dance at the age of 12. She trained at Genesis Dance School founded by Kysha Barnett for 7 years. There she assisted teachers and choreographed for students. In her years of competing, she received numerous recognition and 1st place awards, such as the “2016 Sweet Heart” award at the “I Love Dance” competition in Philadelphia. Jaelyn has acquired versatility by participating in many dance intensives including Dance Theater of Harlem and master classes throughout New York City. She is graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program and hopes to further her dance education post-graduation. Her ultimate goal is to tour doing concert dance and eventually own a dance studio of her own where she will train well rounded young artists like herself.
