Elizabeth Weinstein

Freelance Dancer

Elizabeth Weinstein was born and raised in New York City where she began her dance training on scholarship at Ballet Academy East (2002-2007). She also trained on scholarship at Ballet Hispanico (2007-2017), dancing Flamenco, Ballet, Pointe, Afro-Cuban/Caribbean, Modern (Graham, Limon), Improv, Lyrical Jazz, and Hip-Hop. She has performed at venues such as the Plaza Hotel and the Apollo Theater.  At the Fiorello LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, she trained in Ballet, Graham, Horton, Composition, and Jazz. She spent summers at the Martha Graham School, Joffrey Ballet, and at The Ailey School Summer Intensives on scholarship. She attended The Ailey School Junior Division Program on scholarship in her senior year of high school, performing works by Earl Mosley, Shay Bland, Adrienne Hurd, Pedro Ruiz, and Christian Von Howard. Elizabeth has also trained in Ballroom Dance at Dancing Classrooms (2009-2015), and was in the company for three years, performing with the New York Philharmonic, at Washington D.C. Kennedy Center, at City Center with Liza Minelli, Angela Lansbury, Chita Rivera, and with Yo-Yo Ma. Elizabeth graduated from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance as a dance major, with a double minor in Disability Studies and Psychology in 2022. She also has a passion for Biology and Neuroscience.
