Eleanor Porr

Freelance Dancer

Eleanor 'Ella' Porr began dancing at the age of 4 in her hometown Victoria, TX. After some years of recreational play with feathers and tutus, she began to refine her training at the Victoria Ballet Theater (VBT) at the age of nine, and continued to dance there for another decade. In addition to VBT, Ella spent her early education training at Regional Dance America, Joffrey Ballet Texas, Texas Ballet Theater, LINES Ballet, among other programs. With the support of her dance community, Ella took the next step in furthering her dance and academic studies by enrolling in the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance in New York. She has worked with choreographers such as David Dorfman, Mike Esperanza, Joshua Peugh, Lee Wei Chao, Cameron McKinney, and Lauren Edson. Ella has worked as an assistant and teacher for Busby Dancenter and Ballet Academy of South Texas, where she developed a love for teaching. Ella graduated in May 2023 from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program with a minor in Psychology, and hopes to dedicate her time cultivating a safe and creative environment for artists to gather and grow.
