Delaney Washington

Dance Theatre of Harlem

Delaney Washington is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, where she began her dance training at a local studio. Ms. Washington has trained for four summers on scholarship at Complexions Contemporary Ballet, for three summers on scholarship at Joffrey Ballet, for two summers at Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and a summer at The Dance Theater of Harlem. During the summer of 2021, she attended the contemporary program at the School at Jacob's Pillow under the direction of Milton Myers and Helen Pickett. She has had the privilege of performing works by Helen Simoneau, Yusha Marie-Sorzano, Maurya Kerr, Dwight Rhoden, Pedro Ruiz, and Robert Garland. She represented The Ailey School on an international student committee for World Ballet School Day, as well as being a recipient of an Ailey Artistic Scholarship. Ms. Washington is currently a company artist for Dance Theatre of Harlem. She graduated from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program with a double major in dance and Economics.
