The Ailey School

Christina Swehla is from a small town north of San Francisco, California. Introduced to dance in middle school, she studied ballet, tap, and jazz at Lakeport Dance Center. She continued her training at Santa Rosa Junior College where she developed a love for modern and contemporary dance styles. Christina attended and performed at American College Dance Associations, held at Arizona State University. In 2019, Christina moved to New York City to enroll in the Certificate Program at The Ailey School. She has had the opportunity to participate in the Ailey Student Performance Group, where she was honored to learn and perform Ailey Repertoire and a work by Janice Rosario.
