Bryan Hutcheson

Freelance Dancer

Bryan Hutcheson is a versatile dancer who has trained in all forms of dance. They are a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance where they received The Robert Battle Scholarship. They have taught beginner boys’ dance classes at their home studio, Midwest Dance Mechanix, and at Dream Big Dance Studio.  In 2016, they attended the dance program of the Interlochen Arts Academy where they performed pieces by José Limón and Agnes de Mille. Upon graduating from high school in 2018, they were one of four graduates to receive the Young Artists Award and were invited to come back the following summer to serve as the Kaminski Dance Intern.  In 2021, they had the privilege of performing a section of Alvin Ailey’s work Bird Lives from the longer work entitled For ‘Bird’-With Love, restaged by Clifton Brown and Matthew Rushing at New York City Center. They hope to expand the definitions of dance and open it as a therapeutic space for everyone.
