Breana Moore

Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE, A Dance Company

Breana began dance training at the age of 10 and was a member of the Tennessee Twirlers, Willow Oaks Steppers, and Snowden Pep Squad. She began classical training  in West African, modern techniques, and musical theater at Watoto de Afrika in Memphis, TN. Breana later attended New Ballet Ensemble & School where she began training in ballet and flamenco. Breana graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's of Science in Human Organizational Development and Sociology. While in Nashville, she studied and performed salsa, bachata, and merengue. Since moving to New York in 2017 to attend The Ailey School Certificate Program, Breana has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Judine Somerville, and Yusha Marie-Sorzano (as a participant in the New Directions Choreography Lab at The Ailey School). She has performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with The Ailey School, and at New York City Center with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in a section of Mr. Ailey’s classic work, Revelations. She also performed works by Antonio Brown (EMIA's Dancing Beyond), Ronald K. Brown (the Joyce Theater), and Merce Cunningham (Cunningham Anniversary at Baryshnikov Arts). Breana has been a member of the Ailey Student Performance Group and is currently an apprentice with Ronald K Brown's EVIDENCE, A Dance Company.
