The Total Rewards Manager oversees Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation’s total rewards strategy, a coordinated effort driven by an effective and inclusive rewards package. The person in this role is responsible for managing benefits administration and directing and planning the day-to-day operations of our group benefits programs (group health, dental, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, etc.), as well as managing the compensation function for Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, including developing and implementing new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices. The Total Rewards Manager will also ensure that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. In addition, they will perform a variety of complex administrative and technical duties in support of recruitment and retention efforts.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Oversee benefits administration including directing and planning the day-to-day operations of our group benefits programs (group health, dental, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, etc.).
- Manage the compensation function for Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, including developing and implementing new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures to align with the organization’s goals and competitive practices.
- Ensure that Ailey’s compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
- Perform a variety of complex administrative and technical duties in support of recruitment and retention efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5-7 years’ experience, preferably in a theater or arts organization.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Ceridian, Concur, and other relevant databases required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- A winning mindset, unbiased thought process, and can-do attitude.
- Complete discretion and comfort with dealing with confidential matters.
- Kindness and a commitment to Ailey.
- Ability to pivot and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
$85,000 - $100,000
Benefits include health (including EAP services), dental insurance, flexible spending account, 403(b) retirement plan, and commuter benefits.
