Position Summary
The Office of People and Culture Intern will report to and work collaboratively with the Managing Director for People, Equity, and Inclusion to execute on a variety or projects related to the employee life cycle and the organization’s IDEA goals. This is a terrific opportunity to learn all areas of working in a people function.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assist with the Diversity, Equity, Advisory Committee by attending meetings and researching relevant topics such as gender identity, anti-racism trainings, implicit bias, etc.
- Play a key role in researching various data points related an ongoing supplier diversity project.
- Partner with the Director for People and Culture or reimagining the onboarding process.
- Gain exposure to other areas employee relations, employee engagement, compliance etc.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite needed (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365).
- Demonstrated interest Diversity, Equity, Access and Belonging preferred.
- Possess excellent communication/customer service skills and the ability to juggle multiple assignments.
- Collaborative team player who also can work independently and be a self-starter, take initiative and set priorities.
Work Schedule & Compensation
$6,000 stipend. Must be available to work 14 hours per week.

We are committed to a hybrid and flexible working environment, and there may be days that you wish to work from home and days that we come together so that you get to explore more of our culture and meet other colleagues. You will be provided with a company laptop so that you are able to work from home and in the office easily.
Eligibility
This internship is only available to current students of Fordham University. International applicants are encouraged to apply however, Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation does not sponsor visas and applicants will be required to provide proof of visa at time of resume submission.
