COVID Protocols

We can't wait to see you at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the Fabulous Fox! In order to ensure your safety and enjoyment, here's some information to help you plan your outing. We appreciate your cooperation to ensure the well-being of our artists, as well as our crew, staff, and audiences.

Your safety is our top priority. All audience members, including children ages 5-18, will be required to provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination (two weeks after receiving a one-dose vaccine or the second dose of a two-dose vaccine), a negative PCR Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the performance you are attending, or a professionally administered antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance you are attending. Children under 5 will be admitted with a negative PCR Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the performance they are attending or a professionally administered antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance they are attending. Please note that self-administered or at-home Covid tests are not acceptable forms of proof. All audience members must wear masks at all times inside the theater.

Entry requirements

Please have the following ready when you arrive at the Fox Theatre for your performance:

Proof of full vaccination or negative Covid-19 test

All guests in your party ages 5 and up will need to provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination (two weeks after receiving a one-dose vaccine or both doses of a two-dose vaccine), a negative PCR Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the performance you are attending, or a professionally administered antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance you are attending. All guests over the age of 18 will also need to provide a government issued photo ID.

Children under 5 will be admitted with a negative PCR Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the performance they are attending or a professionally administered antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance they are attending. Photo ID will not be required for children 5-18 if they are accompanied by parents or guardians with valid proof of ID.

Valid forms of proof of vaccination include:

  • CDC-issued vaccination card
  • Photo of your vaccination card
  • Digital Health Pass (examples include CLEAR)

Masks

Approved masks must be worn by all guests in your party at all times while inside the Fox.

Please note: CDC guidelines state that bandanas, gaiters, or masks with vents/valves are not approved masks. If you do not have an approved mask, Fox staff can provide one for you.


Please Arrive Early

The theater lobby will open one hour prior to the performance and seating will begin 45 minutes before showtime. You must arrive at the theater NO LATER THAN one hour prior to performance to allow enough time for required vaccination and security checks and avoid missing the beginning of the performance.

Please note: late seating will take place during the first pause or intermission.


Tickets

The Fox has replaced hard tickets and print-at-home ticket options with mobile tickets, for a contactless ticketing experience. Guests should have their tickets available on their mobile phone and self-scan to enter using our new contactless pedestals.

To access your Mobile Tickets: Click on the link in the Fox Theatre Guest Relations email you received at the time of purchase and download your ticket into either Apple Wallet or Google Pay. Once you have downloaded the tickets into either one of those apps you will be able to view and use your tickets.


Refunds

If you do not meet the vaccine/negative test proof requirements, or if anyone in your party is feeling ill or tested positive for Covid-19, we ask that you please do not come to the theater. We can’t make exceptions for in-person attendees who are not vaccinated or have not tested negative, regardless of the reason. Unfortunately, if you are unable to receive the vaccine or show proof of negative test result, we won’t be able to welcome you to a performance at this time.

Requests for refunds or exchanges can be made until 24 hours prior to the performance. Email  boxoffice@foxtheatre.org and a representative will assist you.

The Box Office Window will be open Friday 10am – 5pm and Saturdays 10am-3pm. The window will also be open 2 hours prior to each performance the week of show.
