Akua Noni Parker (Kinston, NC) is a dancer, teacher, model, and chef with over 20 years of experience in the performing arts industry. She was a leading company member with Dance Theatre of Harlem, Cincinnati Ballet, Ballet San Jose, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. As a dancer, Akua has had the privilege of appearing in film productions including Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance, In the Heights, and Nighthawks. Akua holds certifications in the Zena Rommett Floor Barre technique and the American Ballet Theatre National Teaching Curriculum (levels pre-primary through level 5) and is a Certified Vegan Chef. She teaches classes globally and has served on the ballet faculty at University of North Carolina School of the Arts and Ballet Tech. Akua uses her artistic experiences, knowledge of wellness, and love of all things DIY as inspirations to guide others as a health, lifestyle, and movement coach.
