Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Madelaine attended The Ailey School Scholarship Program where she trained under the mentorship of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater dancer, Kanji Segawa. In 2018, she became a member of Martha Graham's second dance company, Graham 2, where she performed principal and soloist roles in The Owl and the Pussycat (The Pussycat), Diversion of Angels (The Woman in Yellow), El Penitente (Mary), and many more. She has performed as a soloist with Alison Cook Beatty Dance, touring throughout New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts. She was featured in Dance International Magazine for her principal role in the Company’s piece dedicated to Ukraine, “Echoes of War”. Madelaine prioritizes dancing for humanitarian causes and appeared in rapper and activist Nimesh Patel’s widely viewed music video, “We the People.” She has also performed in Buglisi Dance Theater’s 9/11 Table of Silence Project and in “BC to NYC - A Dance Journey”, her solo performance raising funds for cancer research. Madelaine was the feature dancer in House of Spirits in their New York City debut season in 2021.
