Julio Catano

"The Addams Family" (U.S. Tour)

Julio received his BFA in dance from Fordham University in conjunction with The Ailey School. At The Ailey School he performed repertoire by Robert Battle, Alvin Ailey, Elisa Monte, Bradley Shelver, Thang Dao, Stefanie Batten Bland and Nathan Trice.  He performed for two seasons with Ballet Hispanico’s second company, BHdos,  in works by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, William Whitener, Geoffrey Holder, Ramón Oller, Eduardo Vilaro, Pedro Ruiz and Nicholas Villeneuve.  He has performed with the San Diego Opera in their productions of Romeo and Juliette, Salome, and Nixon In China.  Julio has danced as a guest with MOMIX, New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble, San Diego Dance Theater, San Diego Ballet, and at the Mercedes-Benz LA Fashion Week.  Most recently he has performed as a guest artist with the City Ballet of San Diego in their productions of The Nutcracker and Romeo & Juliette.  Musical Theater credits include “Les Misérables” (Marius), “Into the Woods” (Prince Charming/Wolf) at the AVO Playhouse; International tour “The Addams Family” (Ancestor); “West Side Story” (Indio) at Lamb’s Players Theatre.  Julio is a member of Actors Equity Association (AEA) and the American Guild of Musical Artist (AGMA).  Julio is also a teaching artist with California Ballet School.
