Danielle Quisenberry

The Actor's Studio Program

Danielle Quisenberry holds a theatre degree from The School of Music at The University of Michigan. She was trained in ballroom pedagogy and performance by three-time U.S. Ballroom Champion Sandra Cameron and her partner, esteemed adjudicator and examiner Bill Davies. Her choreographic work has been recognized with a Helen Hayes nomination for best overall production of a musical and with a Papermill Playhouse nomination for choreography. She was on the faculty at the New York Film Academy and her recent projects combine her love of dance with the camera. Her television and film credits include the Season 2 Finale of USA Network's Royal Pains, working with Emmy award winning television director Constantine Makris, and dancing her own choreography in the independent musical film Gingerbread House directed by VP Boyle, Co-founder of Relativity Education.

Formerly the Director of Professional Development for the American Ballroom Theater Company’s Dancing Classroom’s Program (featured in the academy award-nominated documentary Mad Hot Ballroom) her role in the organization reflected her skill in developing curriculum models and training teaching artists. Her academic interests include ways in which advances in neuroscience affect teaching and learning in the arts, and the exploration of ways to deliver arts content to both adult and children learners.

At The Ailey School, Ms. Quisenberry uses her dual disciplines of acting and dance to train The Actors Studio Drama School MFA candidates. She continues to work as a professional actor, as well as training with world class competitor and teacher Linas Koreiva. She can also be seen performing regularly as a ballroom dancer at The 92nd Street Y.
