This class will teach students the basic fundamentals of the Horton technique, the foundation of choreography performed by the Alvin Ailey Dance Company.
About Cheryl:
Cheryl Rowley-Gaskins studied dance at The New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida, before continuing her training at The Ailey School, where she was a fellowship recipient. Mrs. Rowley-Gaskins was a member of Ailey II before dancing with the Ailey Company from 1999-2004. Mrs. Rowley-Gaskins currently is a teaching artist with Ailey Arts in Education and has taught and mentored at Ailey Camp Miami.
