Becky Brown is from England. She completed her dance training at the Laban Centre, London, went on to be a member of Transitions Dance Company, and then continued her training in Canada. As a dancer Becky has performed and toured in England, and has extensive teaching experience at University level, lecturing on Dance Degree and Performing Arts Degree courses in the UK. In NYC, Becky continued training in the Limón technique on the Professional Studies Program and the Limón Teachers Program, and was the Program Manager for the Limón Institute. Faculty positions include Pre-Professional and Professional training programs at The Ailey School, Ballet Hispanico, Ballet Tech, Peridance Capezio Center, and the Limón School. In addition to teaching the Limón technique, she leads classes and performance workshops at Ailey Extension, teaches outdoor summer classes in NYC parks, and creates and produces student and professional contemporary choreography.
