Paiter Van Yperen

Ad Deum Dance Company

Paiter van Yperen is from Deep River, CT. He trained at Ekklesia School of Ballet under the direction of Elisa Schroth. He was offered his first professional contract as a company artist with Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet and later became assistant director during the company's 2016-2018 seasons. As assistant director he made his choreographic debut on Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet with his work "Unveiling Joy". In 2018 he began training at The Ailey School while continuing as a principal dancer with Ekklesia.  Mr. van Yperen has performed and taught throughout the United States and internationally with Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet, Ad Deum Dance Company, Open Sky Arts Collective, Inlet Dance Theater, Freddie Moore’s Footprints, Ballet Hartford, The Ailey School, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in Alvin Ailey's work "Memoria" during their 2021 City Center season. He has performed works by artists such as Elisa Schroth, Alvin Ailey, Durell Comedy, Earl Mosley, Vincent Hardy, Elizabeth McMillan, Caleb Mitchell, Freddie Moore, Hope Boykin, Leyna Doran, Randall Flinn, and Steve Rooks.  He is deeply thankful for the generosity of his mentors Randall Flinn, Steve Rooks, and Matthew Rushing. Mr. van Yperen is a graduate of The Ailey School Certificate Program, class of 2022 and currently a member of Ad Deum Dance Company.
