Téa Pérez

Freelance Dancer

Téa Pérez is originally from Dallas, Texas where she trained at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTWHSPVA). While at BTWHSPVA, Pérez performed works by Kyle Abraham, Jessica Lang, Azure Barton, and Dwight Rhoden. During the summers, she studied at intensives such as Paul Taylor American Modern Dance, Parsons Dance, The Ailey School, Alonso King LINES Contemporary Ballet, and Kaatsbaan. As a student in the Ailey/Fordham BFA Dance Program, Pérez had the opportunity to dance works by Manuel Vignouelle, Yusha-Marie Sorzano, William Issac, and Rebecca Brown. In addition her her dance endeavors, Pérez has worked with Franklin Furnace Archive and the Department of Education in NYC to bring arts education to elementary school children. She graduated in 2021 from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program with a BFA in Dance and BA in Art History with a concentration in Contemporary and Modern Art.
