Kathryn Mantyh

Freelance Dancer

Kate Mantyh was raised in South Florida where she began studying dance at Palm Beach Ballet Center under the direction of Joan Miller. She received further training at Bak Middle School of the Arts, Florida School for Dance Education, and later Dreyfoos School of the Arts where she worked under the direction of Jan Hanniford and performed works by Margo Sappington, JenniferArchibald, and Christopher Huggins. She ​has supplemented her training at summer programs with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Alonzo King Lines, and The Ailey School. ​Kate was a Glorya Kaufman Scholarship recipient in the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, and graduated in the spring 2021 with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Communications and Culture. During her time in the BFA program, she has worked with choreographers such as Becky Brown, William Isaac, and Manuel Vignoulle. She is currently on track to receive her Master’s Degree in Ethics in Society in the Fordham Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
