Amanda Knight

Freelance Dancer

Amanda Knight was born in New York City and grew up in Houston, TX, where she began her formal dance training at the age of 13 after 5 years of competitive gymnastics. She trained at Houston City Dance and Vitacca Dance Project under the direction of KellyAnn Vitacca. She attended The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts under the direction of LuAnne Carter and Janie Carothers where she trained in ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and tap dance styles. She has attended summer programs and workshops with Parsons Dance, the Martha Graham School, and Alonzo King Lines Ballet. Amanda has had the opportunity of performing works by Alvin Ailey, Manuel Vignoulle, Brice Mousset, Earl Mosley, and Adam Barruch. Amanda graduated from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance in spring 2021.
