Kiree Brooks

Torch Dance Theater

Kiree Brooks began training at a very young age at Newburgh Performing Arts Academy in the styles of hip hop, tap, jazz, West African, and ballet. She later joined the Advanced Dance team at Newburgh Free Academy.  Kiree received a BFA in dance from from SUNY Potsdam in 2017. At SUNY, she had the opportunity to choreograph works on her fellow students, as well as perform Bill T Jones “Story/Time”. She also participated in the American College Dance Association in Rhode Island. Kiree furthered her training in Florence, Italy at the Florence Summer Dance Intensive, Ballet Arizona, and The Ailey School Summer Intensive. She subsequently attended The Ailey School as an Independent Study student and later joined The Certificate Program (class of 2021) where she became a member of The Ailey Student Performance Group. During her time at The Ailey School she performed works by Judine Somerville, Antonio Brown, Ronald K. Brown and Tina Bush.  Kiree became a member of Torch Dance Theater during their inaugural season.
