Paula Jeanine Bennet (Cleveland, Ohio) is a vocalist, percussionist, composer, and lyricist based in Brooklyn, NY.  She is an American original with a global focus. Paula has performed vocal interpretations of ghazal as an American Cultural Ambassador in India, lectured on creativity at the Arts Summit Indonesia, and provided the sonic pulse for the Jacqulyn Buglisi’s Table of Silence Project in Assisi, Italy and at New York’s Lincoln Center.  Whether presenting poetry and song at the American Language Centers throughout Morocco or singing jazz in a millionaires’ night club in Cairo, Paula Jeanine Bennett brings a wealth of experience to her work.  Current projects include her folk opera, A Village of One and Kloub Nssa (Heart of Women), a cross-cultural music initiative with the Haddarattes Women's Sufi ensemble.  Paula is also on the staff of the Juilliard School.  She lives on the Brooklyn waterfront where she can see the Statue of Liberty from her rooftop.
