Olivier Medus
Biography
Olivier Medus (Cayenne, French Guiana) began his dance training in his native country at the École Nationale de Musique et de Danse under the direction of Frederique Edwige and later continued at the Adaclam School under the guidance of Jeanine Verin. Mr. Medus also trained at The Ailey School as a scholarship student and was awarded fellowships to attend summer intensives at Edward Ellison Ballet and Complexions. He is the 2011 recipient of the Oprah Winfrey Scholarship and has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, Troy Powell, and Freddie Moore. This is Mr. Medus’ first season with Ailey II.
