Adv. Beginner/Intermediate Samba/Afro-Brazilian

Instructor: Quenia Ribeiro
Sundays 4:00pm & Tuesdays 7:30pm
This high energy class explores the cultural diversity of Brazil through movement and rhythm.

Advanced Beginner Broadway Jazz

Instructor: Sue Samuels
Saturday 5:00pm
This class emphasizes the jazz style with strong proper body alignment and clean technique through placement using barre warm-ups and combinations.

Intermediate Ballet

Instructor: Kat Wildish
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 6:00pm
Strengthen and point your feet, improve your turn-out and your body alignment and develop your ballet technique.

Intermediate Capoeira

Instructor: Tiba
Tuesdays 8:00pm
This class will teach you different kicks, sweeps, head butts and sparring that build upon your knowledge of Capoeira.

Intermediate Theatre Dance

Instructor: Vic DiMonda
Thursdays 7:45pm
This class moves at a faster pace than the advanced beginner level with more combinations and twice the fun.

Classes
Dance & Fitness Classes for Adults

The Ailey Extension offers "real classes for real people" (ages 16 and up).  With more than 80 dance and fitness classes each week, there's something for everyone at any experience level.

Series for Kids & Teens Ailey offers recreational courses and pre-professional training for kids and teens ages 2-17.
 
Professional Classes

The Ailey School offers open classes for dancers with three of more years of formal or professional dance training.
