With Peter Brandenhoff:
Students will expand their knowledge of ballet technique with slow and thorough exercises to ensure a better understanding of proper alignment. Each class begins with barre and centre work, followed by exercises across the floor. Students receive the individual attention they need to improve their posture, balance, flexibility and strength. Emphasizing the importance of musicality and presence makes this class both challenging and fun.
With Dawn Hillen:
This is a great first class for everyone! Realize your dream of becoming a ballet dancer and learn the basic stretches right through the first positions and basic moves of ballet. Dawn's class is a very sensible and FUN approach to dance. All levels welcome.
With Finis Jhung:
BALLET SHOES ARE RECCOMENDED.
This class is designed for on-going Absolute Beginners and will prepare students for the Advanced Beginner level. You must know the fundamentals taught in the Absolute Beginner class, especially the almost isometric demi-plié and proper body placement and positioning. Most of the barre exercises are done on the diagonal with only one hand on the barre. The center work teaches simple pirouettes, linking steps, large poses, and simple jumps.
