This introductory-level dance class is a high-spirited, high-powered rhythmic dance experience and is for anyone who loves to dance. Accompanied by live drumming, the class brings together body, mind and spirit in an energetic union of the music, dance and oral tradition of the people of West Africa. All levels welcome. Loose fitting attire and barefeet suggested. Women are encouraged to wear an African print wrap/sarong tied at the waist which can be purchased at The Ailey Boutique.
