Redha has established himself as a widely talked-about dancemaker in many different media. He got his first break dancing back-up for The Jackson Five on a television special while living in Los Angeles, where he studied dance for several years. Upon returning home to France, he quickly established his presence in the television industry with his provocative, often shocking style of choreography. He has also choreographed extensively for film, most recently in director Roman Polanski's Bitter Moon. Redha's forays into concert dance have been equally successful. His dance company, Les Ballets Redha, won the first prize at the International Dance Festival in Tokyo, Japan. One reason why Redha is committed to changing where and how dance is viewed is his belief that it should be accessible to all. "I want to make more than pretty pictures," says Redha. "To give another vision of dance. Less elitist. I want to be a choreographer of today."
