Edward Spots (New Orleans, LA) began his formal dance training at the Schramel Conservatory of Dance. He then graduated from The Walnut Hill School for the Arts in 2009. Mr. Spots also trained at the Magnus Midwest Dance Intensive and The Washington School of Ballet. In 2010, he entered The Ailey School as a scholarship student and became an apprentice in 2011. He has worked with choreographers including Danny Catanach, Camille A. Brown, Francesca Harper, Thang Dao, Claudia Schreier, and Jennifer Muller. He has been featured on FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance” as well as in Dance Magazine and The New York Times. This is his first year with Ailey II.
