A native of Bayamo, Cuba and a graduate of the prestigious National School of Arts in Havana, Noibis Licea is a multi-talented performer, choreographer and educator with extensive experience in Modern, Ballet, Afro-Cuban Dance, Jazz, Acrobatics and Latin Rhythms.
Now based in New York City, Licea has taught classes and workshops at the Alvin Ailey School, the Ailey Extension, PPAS Program( Professional Performing Arts School), Ballet Hispanico, Harlem School of the Arts, Peridance Capezio Center, Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) and internationally at the Silesian Dance Theatre in Poland and Royal School of Ballet Ontario Canada.
Licea’s performance include work by Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Patricia Hoffbauer, Nai Ni Chen Dance Company and Oyu Oro Afro-Cuban Experimental Dance Ensemble.
Currently he is a Teaching Artist with Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs and The Ailey Extension, summer of 2014 will be Licea’s second season with AileyCamp NYC
Noibis Licea holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in dance and choreography from Tisch School of the Arts (NYU). He is a former artistic director of NL Dance Project.
