About West African:

This dance class is an active, vivacious rhythmic dance experience and is designed for everyone who loves to dance. The class combines body, mind and spirit in an energetic union of the music, dance and oral tradition of the people of West Africa. Class will be ccompanied by live drumming. All levels welcome.

About Revelations:

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, recognized by U.S. Congressional resolution as a “vital American cultural ambassador to the world,” celebrates the African-American cultural experience and the American modern dance tradition. Hailed as an American classic and a must-see for all people, Revelations explores the emotional spectrum of the human condition, from the deepest of grief, to the purest of joy. Inspired by his childhood experiences of growing up in Texas and set to traditional spirituals, this timeless classic has been seen by more people since its creation in 1960 than any other modern dance work.
