Sessions 1 & 2
These exclusive workshops give teachers an opportunity to have an in-depth review of the Horton vocabulary, learn or review Horton studies and understand the range and depth of this uniquely American modern dance technique under master teacher and scholar of the Horton vocabulary, Ana Marie Forsythe. Refresh your teaching skills and receive a comprehensive view of the technique while taking advantage of opportunities to speak with other Horton teachers and to share experiences and knowledge with workshop participants.
Instructors will have the opportunity to participate or observe two Horton classes a day held in beautiful floor-to-ceiling windowed studios with view of the New York skyline at the home of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, close to shopping, shows and great restaurants. Some knowledge of the Horton Technique is preferred and participants must have three years of teaching experience.
